More female entrepreneurs are starting their own businesses in 2013 than ever, and the aggressive growth trend for women-owned businesses that started in 1997 shows no signs of slowing down.

Women Entrepreneurs Continue Growth

Women need to find trusted peers and colleagues for collaboration, and to help them face ignorant individuals who refuse to take them seriously. With all this on the entrepreneur's shoulders, balancing work and normal life is difficult, an added source of guilt or regret.
Women who own their own business grew 44% from 1997 to 2007, more than twice the rate of male entrepreneurs. 7.8 million women owned businesses in 2007, with California, Texas, and New York claiming the highest quantities in the nation.
The largest growth industries for female entrepreneurs are online services; health care; and professional, technical, and scientific services. These areas continue to grow as does the number of females successfully venturing out on their own.
