Women entrepreneurs surge but fight their demons
Women entrepreneurs are starting small businesses at approximately twice the national average for all startups. Despite some inaccurate stereotypes, the evidence is that they are in every industry, from small consulting firms to medical high technology. As a result, there have also been many new resources and mentors popping up specifically aimed at women.

Women entrepreneurs crush obstacles.
Mines the increasing success of female entrepreneurs in the face of obstacles feeling: incapable and overloaded, disheartened, unfocused, ethically conflicted, and tired.

Notes that while challenges are inevitable some basic strategies help and are maybe overlooked because they are so simple. You must prioritize tasks and take small steps that lead to accomplishing the most important work. For example, funding may be the priority, but what small micro-tasks will get you there? How can you focus more on those steps and finding funding?

Learning how to delegate, even when the business is small, will allow you to focus on the jobs that only you can handle, as the boss. Delegating means assigning tasks to those who can most reasonably and efficiently handle them, and making the employees accountable to you for following through. If employees are not held accountable, they will slowly become less reliable and efficient.

While success is what you strive for, that end goal is best conceived as a process. Rally the troops and celebrate when you see progress that is moving the company towards success. To be successful in the long run, you must enjoy the journey.
