I have been devouring information on what are called variously: core values, manifestoes, and mission statements. While they all have small differences in purpose, all work toward establishing standards, values, goals, and guidelines for a company.
A mission statement attempts to put down in a few words, a list usually, the governing principles of an organization. Thinking that the major organizations that have written these documents know a bit about them, I tried to learn from the best and from a variety of sources.
