Compassion, empathy, and violence
I am a hard core advocate of compassion and empathy, but violence lingers within me, disconcerting. The world requires radical change for human happiness, and at times, force is the only means of evolution.
So I am torn deep and I expose it here. Can fists promote a greater good? In writing my story on the recent Mumbai gang rape, A gang rape in Mumbai, India: Calling out cowardly men, I confronted the thrilling inner disgust, the salty taste of rage, that would cause me to raise my fists in bloody violence. And, I would.
