Success must travel through the risk of failure.
Do you fear taking risks?
Bloggers cope with a huge risk of failure. There are so many great blogs, and making a place for yourself is frightening.
I remember the fear when I started this blog with the first post. Adrenaline rushed as the mouse hovered over the publish button. I still am a bit nervous each time I push that button.
Your words become permanent when you publish, and you leave yourself exposed. What if no one reads it? Or, worse, what if people read it and hate it?
Blogging is a scary business because you open yourself to other people. Whenever you let down your guard you risk failure, embarrassment, and humiliation.
But, you can never achieve success without taking this risk. The risk is a refining fire which tests the worth of your innovation. You must know that you will have failures and prepare for them.
Ignoring the possibility sets you up for pain and suffering, which may prevent you from taking further risks.
However, mustering the courage for calculated risk opens the door to potential success.
Points of courage to remember:
You can ignore the lessons learned by successful people and take the safe route, avoiding risk. You will not be a lesser person. But, you won't be a better person either.
Achieve success by taking measured and careful risks, and be persistent through failure. You are great and capable of success.
